This idea of all nodes controlling the blockchain is why it is truly decentralized. Effectively, every user connected to the network who is acting as a node through the software is an administrator of the blockchain. What does this mean in plain English?     The blocks in the blockchain were not limited originally. The block size limit of one megabyte was introduced by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2010, as an anti-spam measure.[97] Eventually the block size limit of one megabyte created problems for transaction processing, such as increasing transaction fees and delayed processing of transactions that cannot be fit into a block.[98]
